High Frequency Induction Stripping is the latest innovation available through our New Technology Department. Developed by Industrial Field Robotics Inc. and marketed in partnership with EBC, our High Frequency Induction Stripping Unit is the most advanced industrial surface preparation tool on the global market.

High Frequency Induction Stripping uses electromagnetic impulses to briefly heat the coating/substrate bond interface to a predetermined temperature (usually somewhere between 200F and 300F), thereby neutralizing the adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Although this technology is ideal for dust free removal of typical 1/16" to 1/8" thick glass fiber reinforced coatings, it has proven very effective at stripping much thicker linings, grouting and caulking (even over 1" thick), all without the use of any abrasive or fluid media. Waste generated is the absolute minimum; nothing more than the old coating. There is no abrasive, no shot, no water - absolutely nothing to dispose of except a stack of clean, dry strips of the coating (generally 1½ x 10 foot lengths). These are easily transferred into a dumpster for disposal. Removal is extremely fast and efficient with production rates ranging from 3000-5000 square feet per shift, per unit.

Portability and usability are the keys to success in regards to machine surface preparation. Utilizing our High Frequency Induction Stripping technique, we are able to reach a staggering 99% of the surface - even vertical. As seen to the left, the coating is removed in long strips, approximately 20" wide and 10' long for easy handling and disposal.
